Respond With Love

While many LDS members profess charity and love, some defend their beliefs with rage and hatred–which is not Christ-like at all.

With the recent church policy changes, there are a lot of debates on social media, harsh words, and accusations. As representatives of Jesus Christ, we need to share our thoughts and opinions with love.

“Kill them with kindness,” as the saying goes. While it may be easy to get caught up in emotions, it is important to remember we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. We are all brothers and sisters. We all have the desire to share our testimonies, but when that becomes accusing, fault-finding and demeaning, that is not representing Christ well. Instead of telling people they are wrong, help them understand by teaching true doctrine.

Love as Christ would love. Teach with power, but not with a sharp tongue.
